blue-haired tarantulas_biomimicry

Scientists at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography at UC San Diego and University of Akron have discovered that many species of tarantulas have developed the ability to grow blue hair using nanostructures in their exoskeletons instead of pigments. as a result, their hair could viewed at different angles and still seem like the same shade of color.

They believe that they can use apply this phenomenon to reduce glare in phones, computers, and T.V.s
